On the Roadmap: Generate Repetitive Text Strings (📺 see video)

Overview

There are multiple ways to specify the text content for a section in a proof.

Glyph Removal: Glyphs/characters that are missing from a font will be automatically removed from the proof content. Empty glyphs that aren’t whitespace characters will also be removed. This helps to avoid unintentional blank gaps on the page, which disrupt spacing strings and the texture of paragraphs.

At the moment, text content must be Unicode characters (text that you can type, copy, and paste). The ability to insert glyphs by name (ex: /A.ss01) is on the roadmap. Until then, the best workaround for inserting unencoded glyphs is to add a stylistic set OpenType feature.

Font Proofer doesn’t provide default/preset proofing text… yet. Read why in the FAQ.
